Kalkadoon Stories and Songs

"Kalkadunga (Kalkadoon) stories and songs are protected and passed down to knowledge holders through blood lineage.  Our stories are passed down from the Dreamtime, our main totems are the leaders, and they are from the Traditional Owner group for that area.  That is why our stories cannot be changed, it goes right back to our people’s ancestorial creation spirits.  It’s about connection to the ancestral spirit of creation of the Country in which you come from." - Colleen Sam, 2022

“You have to know your story in order to know your Country”. Collen's mother, Ena Sam, always told her this when she was teaching about our Kalkadunga Dreamtime Stories and Ancestors.
