"Kalkadunga has a great range of bush foods from plants, land, sky, and water animals. A variety of fruit and berries, wild honey, witchetty grubs.

Their bush medicine making and hunting continues to the present day and is practised by Kalkadunga Elders when our people require healing. The knowledge of plants on our Country and what it brings to our people’s body physically and spiritually is critical to holistic health and well-being". Colleen Sam, February 2022.
